Why The Cubes are different

The neighborhood, and then The Cubes

La Cala is an established residential area with character. The plots are spacious, the surroundings green. However, the current building regulations limit most homes in the area to a maximum of 200 m² of living space—without a basement, and therefore without options. Every additional bedroom comes at the expense of the terrace, shade, or outdoor space.

 

The Cubes are designed differently. Due to the full basement level beneath the property—accessible via its own driveway ramp—extra bedrooms and logistical spaces are housed in the basement. This leaves the ground floor entirely free for what Costa Blanca villa living truly demands: living, dining, relaxing, and being outdoors.

The result: a covered terrace of approximately 160 sq ft that truly offers shade. Not as an afterthought to an overloaded program, but as a deliberate design choice.

Three villas of 368 sq m. One of 404 sq m. The fourth villa is on a larger plot, thus having a more spacious footprint. All four are independent residences under separate names and addresses within the same neighborhood.

The access
While the rest of the neighborhood has standard fencing, The Cubes opts for a unique aesthetic on the front. The access gate and enclosure are deliberately designed differently—a subtle signal to those who know what they're looking for.

Ground floor — for life itself
The ground floor revolves around one idea: the boundary between inside and outside only exists if you want it to. The spacious living room and the modern kitchen with an island are separated by minimalist glass walls and a central, open patio that draws daylight deep into the house.

The glass facades slide completely away. The living room flows into the covered terrace of approximately 50 m², the swimming pool, and the garden. The orientation is strictly south-facing—optimal sun all year round, wherever you want to be.
