It is lively all year round, even outside the season. The Montg\u00f3, the mountain behind the city, dominates the landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Moraira<\/strong> is smaller and quieter: a former fishing village around a marina and a castle on the beach. Moraira has two lovely sandy beaches with clear water, Playa de l\u2019Ampolla and El Portet, plus quiet rocky coves such as Les Platgetes and Cala de l\u2019Andrag\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eating and going out<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both places have excellent restaurants, from simple fish restaurants by the harbor to gastronomic kitchens. X\u00e0bia offers more variety and is livelier in the evening; dining in Moraira is mostly quiet and refined, by the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The airports of Alicante and Valencia are both located more than an hour\u2019s drive from X\u00e0bia and Moraira.
